2024 was a joyful year for me as Korea.net named me one of the year's top 10 Honorary Reporters.
Becoming an Honorary Reporter helped me discover a new passion and hobby. Initially, I hesitated to apply due to my lack of experience and the birth of my daughter. When the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in Cairo invited me to attend the "Hello Korea" event, I considered it a sign to give it a try.
I wrote an article about the event that was published on Korea.net's website. That encouraged me to write about Korean culture and conduct interviews.
Over the past two years, I've written 42 articles including 36 in 2024. This experience taught me the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone and never giving up.
At the beginning of 2024, I was officially invited to cover an event organized by the KCC as part of a program marking the 10th anniversary of the center. I wrote an article about the KCC's Taekwondo Academy and interviewed the coach and several students.
I also covered my experience at King Sejong Institute in Egypt and events during Ramadan. In April, I joined other Honorary Reporters at the "Hello Korea" event, on which I co-wrote an article. At the end of that month, I was appointed an Honorary Reporter for 2024.
In addition to writing articles and conducting interviews about Korean culture, I participated in all assigned tasks, writing on a variety of topics. I also attended workshops organized by Korea.net to help improve writing, and I found them beneficial in enhancing my abilities.
In conclusion, 2024 was an unforgettable year as I shared my love for Korean culture as an Honorary Reporter.
