The nation's largest semiconductor expo has opened in Seoul featuring the next generation of chip technologies from home and abroad that leads the artificial intelligence (AI) era.
The Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Institute (SEMI) said Semicon Korea 2025 runs from Feb. 19-21 at COEX Mall in Seoul.
Under the theme "Lead the Edge," the event has 500 participating companies in chip materials, components and equipment from home and abroad as well as 2,301 exhibition booths.
On display are the latest semiconductor technologies and market trends, plus opportunities are offered for collaboration and business with global companies.
Over 30 diverse tech programs and forums over the expo period will cover key topics driving the future chip industry like AI, advanced packaging and sustainable manufacturing technologies. Other activities include an investment forum, seminar for research and development cooperation, and mentoring sessions for college students.
